Bend it Like Beckham was a cultural phenomenon. The 2002 film, starring Keira Knightley and Parminder Nagra is getting a sequel.

No release date is confirmed yet, but Chadh hopes the sequel will premiere around the original’s 25th anniversary, which falls in 2027. It’s the same year that the FIFA Women’s World Cup takes place, from June 24 to July 25. We hope they pull off that timing!
