Germany captain Giulia Gwinn has been ruled out of the rest of the Women’s European Championship with a knee injury.

Sjoeke Nüsken has been promoted to vice-captain of the German women's team, supporting new captain Janina Minge following Giulia Gwinn's exit from the European Championship due to injury.
