MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – Firefighters in San Jacinto and Montgomery counties are continuing efforts to control the Pauline Road Fire, which has burned nearly 2,400 acres.

The Pauline Road fire was 45% contained Thursday evening, according to the Texas A&M Forest Service. “Our firefighters are the best,” Keough said.

Texas firefighters used water-carrying helicopters to douse flames from the Pauline Road Fire in San Jacinto County, north of Houston.

When the Pauline Road fire broke out north of Houston, livestock, including cows, horses & goats, were evacuated to the Caney Creek Cowboy Church.
