Brendan Murray was born in North Bay, Ontario, Canada. He is an actor best known for his stage work, most notably as Major Nicholls in the Toronto and Broadway Touring productions of War Horse, as well as several seasons at the Stratford Festival.

Famous for his membership in the Irish boyband Hometown. Along with his bandmates, he released the hit singles "Cry for Help" and "Where I Belong." In 2017, he'd represent his native country at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Dying to Try." He went on to compete on The X Factor (UK) in 2018.
