Sep 17, 2021 · The Rail Heritage Centre has been officially opened in Doncaster, located inside Danum Gallery, Library and Museum. The centre includes the Doncaster-built Green Arrow and No. 251 locomotives, loaned from the National Railway Museum, and rail related exhibits and memorabilia from the Doncaster Grammar School Railway Collection.

Chris Barron’s illustrated talk will outline the history of the school’s Railway Society from the 1930s through to the challenge of its removal from the tower, as well as explaining the future plans for the collection in its new surroundings.
