Madan Lal Dhingra (18 February 1883 – 17 August 1909) was an Indian student and Indian revolutionary freedom fighter at University College London who in 1909 assassinated Sir William Hutt Curzon Wyllie, the political aide-de-camp to the Secretary of State for India, in London.

He was trialed and hanged on 17 August 1909. The sacrifice of Dhingra not only inspired the Indians but also the Irish, who were struggling at that time for autonomy.
