Jan 17, 2025 · The Idaho Transportation Department will close the pedestrian bridge over Interstate 84 in Caldwell on Monday. This long-term closure will allow crews to make significant improvements, including repairing concrete, enhancing entrances, installing lighting and fencing, and repainting the bridge.

I-84 enters Idaho by crossing the Snake River at Ontario, Oregon. From there, it continues on to the major cities of the Treasure Valley (or Boise metropolitan area) including Caldwell, Nampa, Meridian, and Boise (where I-184 connects travelers to downtown).

Closures will allow crews to begin work on the E 400 South Road bridges as they widen I-84 between the South Jerome (Exit 168) and Twin Falls (Exit 173) Interchanges. Traffic will be detoured to Golf Course Road, E Frontage Road, E 300 S and S 200 E.
