Ichirō Miyata (宮田 一郎, Miyata Ichirō) is a featherweight professional boxer, the OPBF featherweight champion, and Ippo Makunouchi 's idol and eternal rival. Miyata is a very skilled out-boxer with a cool demeanour that specialises in counter punches. He is considered by many to be a boxing prodigy, he uses the same boxing style as his father.
