Dec 4, 2020 · In its current condition, the Coodercaster is set up with an original Bigsby 8-string steel pickup in the bridge position and a Guyatone pickup at the neck. The pickups are routed to a four-way pickup selector and two Tele-style knobs.

According to Reverb, this Blue Strat is the original Coodercaster, which is the adopted name for an entire sub-genre of guitars built or modded to emulate the eccentricities of Cooder's personal instruments.
