May 15, 2017 · Stony Brook University reopened its renovated swimming pool on May 15, 2017. The pool is located in the Sports Complex across from the Recreation & Wellness Center.

The Walter J. Hawrys Campus Recreation & Wellness Center will enhance the quality of life for students, faculty, and staff with the opportunity to recreate in a safe, professional, fun and friendly environment.

Stony Brook University celebrated the opening of the Campus Recreation Center, a state-of-the-art 85,000 square-foot facility, on October 19, 2012. Located between the Stony Brook Student Union and the Indoor Sports Complex, the new facility is devoted to the health and wellness of Stony Brook students, faculty and staff.

May 16, 2017 · With Stony Brook’s totally revamped University Pool now open, the Women’s Swimming and Diving program reinstated, and two-time Olympian Janelle Atkinson on board as head coach, the Seawolves are ready to dive back into collegiate competition.

Aquatic Complex at SUNY Stony Brook. This project consisted of a complete gut renovation including the removal of the old pool and all of its appertanances (pumps, filters, piping), removal of a 90' long by 7' tall concrete beam (featured in video below) and the interior perimeter wall and window wall system.
