Jan 1, 2025 · This elaborate memorial by Percy Stone is in front of the County Club in Newport, close to the corner with High Street. Queen Victoria died in 1901 and the memorial was unveiled two years later. Its triangular base, with concave sides, stands on a stepped plinth, with three bronze lions crouching at the corners.

The Royal Victoria Hotel is a former hotel situated in Newport, Shropshire. It dates back to 1830 and gains its name from Queen Victoria, who as Princess Victoria of Kent visited the hotel in 1832 and who gifted the hotel with a pair of tortoise shells to commemorate the visit.

This monument is in the centre of Newport, not far from the Guildhall. It has a triangular base and stands on a stepped plinth. There are three crouching bronze lions at the corners of the plinth.

The Recreation ground was created to commemorate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee in 1897. There are two metal plaques attached to the park gates.
