Nov 7, 2021 · I've been trying to swap out the bent forks on my 2018 yamaha bolt r spec, but it's been super difficult to find front forks for this this bike. ANY forks. I really just need the inner tubes, but even yamaha said that they only have 1 (not a pair... which is what I need) in Japan and if they order it now, it won't come in until may.

Nov 7, 2011 · If you disassemble the forks, I highly recommend installing new fork seals/dust boots and a new copper crush washer for the damper rod bolt. The FZR front wheel is 1/2" wider (3" wide) than the Seca II wheel.

Jun 6, 2020 · In the forum, you will find several started threads regarding a front fork swap. But up to now, I have seen only two successful builds, one with a MT09 and one with a R6 fork. From the later, I think it was @frankierose which mentioned the swap.

Jul 20, 2017 · Enter, the Yamaha Yard Built "Speed Iron" Bolt and its full VMax front end. Now, obviously, I don't have direct access to Yamaha's warehouses like those guys did, so I'd be building the triples piecemeal if I go this route.

Sep 12, 2022 · This swaps the vulnerable hex head bolt with the smooth rounded head bolt. They are the same thread, the rounded allen head bolt is slightly longer but still fits the fork even without the Camel guard shown.
