Nov 7, 2024 · Completing the widening of the John Kilpatrick Turnpike that began in 2012 is an important part of the ACCESS Oklahoma Long Range Plan. Additionally, adding access to the turnpike at County Line Road and modifying the access at SH-74 will provide for more efficient mobility between the Municipal, State, and Turnpike systems.

The Kilpatrick Turnpike is 25.3 miles long and connects Interstate 40 near Yukon to OK 74, U.S. 77, and Interstate 35/Interstate 44 at the western terminus of the Turner Turnpike. The turnpike between OK 74 and Interstate 35 opened in 1991.
