One of the biggest lessons I learned from gaining weight on purpose during my fit2fat2fit journey was how powerful the emotional and biological connection to highly processed junk foods really is! Don’t get it twisted… I like to be fit, but if I’m not careful I can easily gain weight if I wanted to. I’ve gained 75 lbs (2011) and 62 lbs (2020) on purpose and now having done that twice it’s easier for me to put weight on. Yes, I still have cravings for this food and sometimes I eat my emotions just like we all do. The key to overcoming any addiction is self awareness and that takes time.
