A strange looking manatee was spotted near Three Sisters Springs! Just kidding, it was a different marine mammal, the Bottlenose Dolphin! Unlike manatees which eat primarily plant material, dolphins are carnivores and eat other aquatic animals like fish, crustaceans, and squid. They are part of a family of toothed whales that use their teeth to grip prey. While they can be seen cooperatively hunting in groups called pods, they may also hunt solo. This dolphin was seen alone hunting for breakfast
