The Phoenix Police Department has released the body cam footage from an officer-involved shooting that happened in our community on July 8, 2020. The attached video is a summary of the events leading up to and after the shooting involving Jovana Kelsey McCreary. A caller told 911 that Jovana had fired a gun and damaged property. Phoenix PD’s Violent Crimes Bureau and Phoenix Fire’s Fire Investigations Task Force responded to two separate house fires that occurred two days apart. Both fires had personal items stolen from the homes before being set ablaze. Detectives found some of the stolen items at a local pawn shop and ID’d two suspects. Those suspects were later found with more of the stolen items in their vehicle and apartment. Both were arrested for their crimes. | Phoenix Police Department
