The radar of south-east Australia this morning shows showers and thunderstorms for many areas. A cold front crossed parts of southern South Australia before dawn this morning, producing storms and damaging wind gusts. A line of heavy showers and severe thunderstorms then moved across the Adelaide area and the Mount Lofty Ranges early this morning, bringing further strong to damaging wind gusts. Satellite and radar imagery shows a patchy cloud band extending across much of southern Western Australia, responsible for the showers and thunderstorms which have impacted parts of the South West Land Division over recent days. The cloud and unsettled weather are being driven by a low pressure trough across the west interacting with a system in the upper atmosphere.
