Rowan Lawson came over from Shrewsbury where he works from home as an admin assistant for a major building society. He started playing in his teens but took a fifteen year hiatus after contracting glandular fever. The Staffordshire based band Vox Americana was started by Helen Walford with percussionist Emily Bailey (HGV Driver) and Bass player Hollie Lucas (Professional Dog Walker) after Helen realised that Americana style music in the UK was dominated by mostly male bands.
